Who is Eligible for Help?

Families and individuals in need who live in the cities of Greater Anoka County are eligible for our help. 

Clients who receive similar Christmas-time help from another organization or agency such as The Salvation Army, Adopt-A-Family, a local church, etc. are NOT eligible.

Cities Not Served

We Do NOT Serve residents of Columbia Heights, Fridley, Spring Lake Park, and Hilltop. Those residents should go to SACA in person

at 627 38th Avenue NE in Columbia Heights to apply.  Call 763-706-3976 with questions about SACA applications for Christmas help.

Families in need from other communities are encouraged to contact their county or city service staff. Champlin, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Dayton, and Maple Grove are nearby cities of Hennepin County. Elk River and Big Lake are located in Sherburne County.

Process This Year

1. We will be distributing at a new location for 2022: 408 E Main Street, Anoka, MN. Find it on the map.  This is the Anoka Armory.
2. Each family will have a set appointment time slot they must come during. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY OR LATE.
3. Toys and food will be distributed to people in their cars in the alley behind the Anoka Armory. Look for signs and volunteers at intersections leading you to the location.
4. You will NOT be able to choose your toys. Fill out the application form carefully, including a wish list value up to $35 gift for each child.  Volunteers will try to fill those gifts for your children.  Please NO requests for video games or gift cards.
5. Food distributed will be limited in quantity – turkey or chicken, potatoes, apples, carrots, bread and some select non-perishables.
6. We are only accepting On-Line applications found on our “Apply Online” page.
